Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable EMT III to serve in a hybrid role at the Oooguruk Tie-In Pad (OTP). This position combines administrative, medical, and emergency response responsibilities to ensure the health, safety, and operational readiness of all onsite personnel.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Hilcorp operations by providing emergency medical care, occupational health services, and camp coordination.
Primary Responsibilities
- Staff and manage the front desk for daily operations and communication.
- Oversee and coordinate camp billeting, ensuring accurate room assignments and occupancy tracking.
- Lead the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), maintaining readiness and coordination for any onsite emergencies.
- Provide EMT III-level emergency medical care to employees and contractors as needed.
- Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing in compliance with company policy and regulatory standards as needed.
- Perform Occupational Health testing (audiometry, spirometry, fit testing, etc.) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and assist in communication with the North Slope Operations Center (NOC) Medical Clinic.
Normal Operations
- Approximately 20 personnel on site per hitch.
- Work hours: 0600–1800 (12-hour shifts).
Travel Logistics
- Transportation: Year-round Hilcorp bus service between OTP and Deadhorse.
- Travel Time: Approximately 25 minutes from the North Slope Operations Center (NOC) Medical Clinic.
Qualifications
- Current Alaska EMT III or higher certification (required).
- Current BLS certification (required).
- ACLS and PHTLS certifications preferred.
- Experience in occupational health, industrial EMS, or remote medical settings preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
