We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Assistant to support daily warehouse operations. This role involves processing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while supporting the department with data entry and cross-training responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
Perform data entry to maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
Process small parcel orders and prepare shipments for dispatch.
Apply shipping labels and ensure packages are ready for pickup.
Communicate with customers via email regarding shipping updates and inquiries.
Update shop work orders and system records consistently.
Provide backup support for team members during absences or peak periods.
Assist across departmental areas to maintain workflow efficiency.
Learn and support tasks in the receiving department as part of cross-training.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in multiple areas as needed.
