Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
- Support order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Conduct stock stocking and replenishment tasks to maintain optimal inventory levels within the warehouse
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards during all materials handling and heavy equipment operations
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or manufacturing settings
- Valid certification for operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy machinery use
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on equipment
- Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and order picker technology is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for those interested in advancing into leadership roles
