Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position located in Scott, LA. The Commercial Flooring/Construction Estimator will be responsible for performing quantity take-offs, developing cost estimates, managing budgets, communicating with subcontractors, submitting bid proposals timely, conduct site visits, assist with project turnover to operations after award, and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires precise attention to detail, the ability to assess project requirements, and effective communication to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in commercial flooring and/or construction estimating or a related field preferred
- Strong skills in Construction Estimating, Reading Construction Drawings, Bid Documents/Procedures and Quantity Take-offs
- Skilled in Cost Management and Budgeting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and tools
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work within strict deadlines
- Familiarity with commercial construction processes and materials
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
