About the Position

• Retail Pharmacy Clerk - Retail Pharmacy
• Part-Time .5-.7 FTE (40-56 hours per pay period)
• Days
• On-site at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids

Job Summary:

The Retail Pharmacy Clerk greets patients and creates an exceptional customer experience. They are responsible for keeping track of patients who are waiting in the pharmacy or lobby. They are responsible for accepting payment from patients for good and services sold in the pharmacy under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. They answer the phones and direct to the correct technician or pharmacist to assist them. They are responsible for putting the order away for the day and keeping their area neat and organized.

Here's what you'll do when you join us:

• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Resolve and troubleshoot drug distribution problems.
• Order and stock inventory, prepare medication for delivery or mailing.
• Take refill requests from patients.
• Use cash register to take payments from patients, issue change and refunds.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
   
2. One year of customer service or retail experience required.
3. Previous experience with a cash register required.
4. Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
5. Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and maintain positive working relations.
6. Comply with all applicable policies, codes, and Standards of Grand Itasca.
7. Demonstrate participation in Grand Itasca's Mission, Vision, and Values.
8. Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
