Fairview Range is hiring an Occupational Health Nurse for our Job Care Department in Hibbing, MN.
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you'll tackle the vital role of conducting health assessments, offering counseling, and ensuring detailed follow-up care. Additionally, you'll engage in medical monitoring, particularly in regulated industries, as the need arises. You'll play a key role in preparing, coordinating, and providing support for off-site contracts using our Medical Mobile Trailer. Moreover, you'll actively contribute to our ongoing efforts in continuous quality improvement, underscoring your dedication to excellence in occupational health services.
Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift. Weekends:

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Performing health assessments. Keeping accurate and timely documentation.
- always maintaining confidentiality of client information especially in sensitive matters such as drug and alcohol testing, HIV testing and non-work-related health information.
- Willing to take on Worker’s Compensation duties as assigned.
- Assisting in identifying opportunities for improving systems and outcomes and participates in ongoing monitoring of quality care.
- Demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to assess client status per stage of growth and development and to provide the appropriate care respective of their age.
- Preparing for contracts through chart review; confirmation of services and scheduling as assigned.
- Preparing trailer and packs appropriate equipment/supplies as needed for contracts.
- Performing specimen collection/processing/reporting according to established protocols and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current Minnesota RN license.
- BLS
- One-year prior RN experience and/or 2 years’ experience working in an Occupational Health environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- COHC
- Breath Alcohol Technician Certification
- DOT Urine Drug Screen Certification
- Critical Care and/or Occupational Health nursing experience preferred.
