JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The quality of the product and packaging must be observed, and any deviation from the norm must be reported as soon as possible to the Shift Supervisor.
The monitoring of product, labels and packaging.
Recording and reporting of packaging output verbally and in written communication form on the documents provided.
Must adhere to facility SOPs on documentation and follow standard training that will be issued in this area.
Responsible for housekeeping of the working area. This includes, but not limited to sweeping the floor around the packaging machine area, removing the trash, preparing for next day’s/shift’s production, and finalizing paperwork in an accurate, clear, and concise manner.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Experience in a food plant/pet food plant preferred.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Daily lifting of product and boxes ranging from 1 pound to 50 pounds from table level to floor and above head as often as once every approximately 15 minutes.
Constant walking and standing required. Climbing up and down ladders or stairs required. Must be able to continually bend and stoop for length of shift.
Must be able to work in an environment where the indoor temperature ranges from 80 to 100 degrees F in summer and 50 to 65 degrees F in winter.
