Role Overview: Provides cardiopulmonary care under physician directives or supervision, utilizing principles, techniques, and theories of respiratory therapy.
Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program, hold a current license (temporary or permanent), and be eligible or certified by the NBRC (CRT). CPR certification is required.
Experience & Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge of respiratory procedures, including Critical Care and Blood Gas analysis. Proficiency with healthcare computer systems is essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional college or associate’s degree, prior hospital experience, and certifications such as NRP, PALS, ACLS/ALS. Advanced computer skills and the ability to operate computerized equipment and patient care applications are advantageous.
