The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides essential nursing support by administering medications, monitoring resident health, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor symptoms, report adverse reactions, and observe physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
- Maintain medication carts, conduct narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and support resident safety through clinical precision
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation abilities
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
