The Ebenezer Vice President of Strategy and Performance serves as a strategic partner and organizational integrator for the Ebenezer Executive Leadership Team. This role leads the development, deployment, and execution of organizational strategies and key initiatives, driving alignment across departments and ensuring operational cohesion. The VP oversees project management functions, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and integrates experience-focused insights into strategic plans to advance the organization's mission and values through data-driven execution.
Today, Ebenezer includes more than 100 locations across six states, offering a comprehensive range of services such as independent and assisted living, memory care, transitional and long-term care, adult day programs, and childcare. In addition to senior care and services, Ebenezer Management Services (EMS) offers many capabilities in community development, management, and consulting. Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: The Vice President of Strategy and Performance collaborates closely with the CEO, and thereby Ebenezer Board, Ebenezer Executive Leadership, and Fairview, to develop and refine the organization’s strategic vision and priorities. Acting as a trusted advisor, the VP provides insights, feedback, and recommendations to support informed decision-making. This role translates high-level strategy into actionable initiatives, ensuring alignment across all departments and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
- Performance Management: This role establishes and oversees key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress on strategic goals and initiatives. By leveraging data and analytics, the VP provides regular updates to executive leadership, identifies opportunities for improvement, and ensures accountability at all levels. Additionally, the VP implements systems and processes to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
- Chief of Staff Functions: As a key liaison between the CEO and other leaders, the Vice President fosters collaboration and alignment on organizational goals. The VP prepares materials for executive meetings, board presentations, and strategic planning sessions while representing the CEO in internal and external meetings as needed. This role anticipates organizational challenges, addresses potential roadblocks, and provides proactive solutions, serving as a central point for coordination and problem-solving across departments.
- Project Management and Execution: The Vice President leads or oversees cross-functional projects that are critical to the organization’s success, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget. The role includes developing and managing frameworks for prioritizing and executing initiatives, including resource allocation and risk management. Direct supervision of a team of project managers or analysts supports the execution of these efforts, ensuring strategic initiatives are carried out effectively.
- Collaboration and Communication: Fostering a culture of accountability and alignment, the Vice President ensures clarity and transparency around strategic priorities and initiatives. This role builds strong relationships with department leaders to facilitate the successful implementation of projects and strategies. By driving organization-wide engagement through clear communication and collaboration, the VP ensures all teams are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Strategy Deployment & Daily Engagement: The Vice President supports the organization’s strategy deployment framework by ensuring its effective implementation across all departments. This includes overseeing reporting processes to provide actionable insights into progress toward strategic goals and maintaining systems that align with organizational priorities. The VP facilitates consistent progress tracking through tools, reporting, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring alignment with overall planning and project execution. Additionally, the role includes providing training and guidance to teams to enhance understanding and effective use of the framework and systems, driving organization-wide engagement and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. business, management, health care administration, project management, or a related field.
- At least Ten years of relevant experience to include strategic business leadership.
- Familiarity with healthcare, long-term care, and senior living trends.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to align diverse teams around shared goals.
- Exceptional project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and complex initiatives.
- Proficiency in data analysis, performance tracking, and using insights to drive decision-making.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
