Key Responsibilities
As a Professional Development Specialist, you will:
- Facilitate Learning: Design and implement education using adult learning principles and data-driven needs assessments.
- Drive Change: Lead transformation initiatives using evidence-based change management strategies.
- Mentor & Lead: Support the growth of nursing staff through mentorship, preceptorship, and leadership.
- Champion Inquiry: Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement in clinical education.
- Support Transitions: Guide nurses through role transitions with individualized learning plans.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with clinical and operational leaders to align education with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
Experience:
- Required: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, including teaching, coaching, or precepting
- Preferred: 1 year of formal education experience
Licensure & Certifications:
- Required:
- Current MN RN License
- BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (American Heart Assoc)
- Preferred:
- ANCC Certification in Nursing Specialty
- ANPD Certification

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
