What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Peds Dialysis position at Fairview Health Services?
The University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus is looking for a savvy Registered Nurse to join our team of talented healthcare providers who will work in our Peritoneal Dialysis Department caring for adult and pediatric patients in the hospital, as well as remote care for pediatric patients dialyzing at home.
This position works a .75 FTE (60 hours every two week pay period) on the day and evening shifts, at 10 hour shifts. Frequent call is required.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).
- The RN will perform these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
- The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
- The RN will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.
Required:
- MN RN License
- BLS required
- AD required
- 1 year peritoneal dialysis experience
Preferred:
- BSN or higher preferred
- hemodialysis experience
- Pediatric experience
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certifed Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification
