What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Cath Lab (Day Shift!) position at Fairview Health Services?
Fairview is looking for a Cardiovascular RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 80 hours per two weeks on the Day shift (8am - 4:30pm) with flexible start and end times, on call 1 day a week and 1 weekend a month (must live within 30 minutes from Hospital).

Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
- Utilizes nursing process by assessing, implementing and evaluating care given to assigned patients.
- Communicates accurately and effectively with patient/family and healthcare members regarding plan of care, nursing interventions and patient information
- Coordinates care with physicians. Directs, coordinates and acts as a liaison for other health care personnel.
- Manages and supervises other unit personnel as needed.
- Assumes charge nurse responsibility as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- 2 years Critical Care Experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc)
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac Critical Care experience
- Previous Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience
- Electrophysiology experience
