RN Cardiology Special Procedure- St Johns/Woodwinds

Fairview Health Services is hiring a casual RN Cardiology Special Procedure for our St Johns Hospital in Maplewood, MN and Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN locations.

Provides patient care to clients across all acute care sites using all modalities of stress testing, transesophageal echocardiograms, CTA and stress MRI. Works closely with non- invasive cardiology team and
cardiologist to provide safe care for both inpatients and outpatients.This encompasses proctoring nuclear stress tests, assisting in cornary CTAs, stress MRIs, and TEEs.  Experience in moderstae sedation and/or cardiology preferred.

• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
• Utilizes nursing process by: planning, implementing and evaluating care given to assigned patients.
• Assists physicians with special procedures including admission, sedation and discharging of both inpatients and outpatients.
• Assists physicians with special procedures including admission, sedation and discharging of both inpatients and outpatients.
• Monitors flow of day to day operations at site in conjunction with other charge RNs at other acute care sites.
• RN Core Competencies - Assessment, Planning, Evaluation: Collects and analyses pertinent data and/or clinical findings.
• Incorporates clinical findings and scientific evidence in the development, coordination and implementation of an individualized plan of care to achieve desired outcomes.
• Evaluates progress towards goals and outcomes identifying opportunities for improvement and change.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
2 years critical care experience including experience in providing conscious sedation
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc) American Heart Association
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Registered Nurse MN (RN) MN Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cardiac care
Gastrointestinal care experience
