What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist position at Fairview Health Services?
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team at our Fairview Clinic in Stillwater with additional travel to our Vadnais Heights Clinic. This is a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 weeks position) that will work Wednesdays (11:30AM - 6PM), Thursdays (7:30AM - 6PM) and Fridays (7:30AM - 5PM)
The Clinic Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in an ambulatory setting. Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The clinic radiologic technologist supports all diagnostic imaging procedures offered in the care setting. Provides assist in the opening of the supplies/equipment for special procedure cases as well as responding to trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
- Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
- Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
- Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
Required Qualifications
- Certification as required by the ARRT
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S./B.A.
- 3 years experience as a technologist
- Advanced Imaging modality certification
