What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant - Wound Care position at Fairview Health Services?
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Wound Care team at M Health Fairview - Wound Healing Institute - Edina. Work in the capacity of an attending provider in an outpatient specialty services setting including patient care management, wound and vascular care, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing medications and discharge planning.
Practice Details:
- Collaborate, consult and communicate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers and staff throughout the continuum of care.
- Average of 12-18 patient encounters per day.
- Openings: 1.0 FTE (Full Time)
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- BC/BE through NCCPA.
- Licensed or ability to obtain a PA license with prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
- Wound care certification within 6 months of hire, if not already certified.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least 1 year of previous PA experience
- Wound/lymphedema care experience
- Wound care certification

The posted pay range is for 1.0 FTE. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on a 1.0 FTE schedule. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
