Fairview Health Services is seeking a Physician Assistant – Adult Psychiatry Inpatient to join the Fairview medical team at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up.

Practice Details:

• This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) role that includes coverage during weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays, as well as participation in the call rotation to ensure 24/7 continuity of care.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for adolescent/adult and/or geriatric inpatients.
• Lead multidisciplinary Capitol Park treatment teams, including therapists, nurses, and social workers.
• Participate in daily clinical rounds and team meetings.
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Capitol Park behavioral health staff.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital program development.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) through the NCCPA

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota

• Must meet credentialing and privileging criteria/qualifications

• BLS certification required

• Previous experience in acute care, adolescent care, and/or geriatric care preferred

• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is required

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
