Responsibilities Job Description
Fairview Specialty Pharmacy is hiring a full-time Retail Pharmacist Specialist to provide clinical support and consultative services in a complex outpatient pharmacy operation. This position partners with key stakeholders to drive medication safety, customer service, process improvement, clinical and formulary programs and initiatives and regulatory compliance.
This is a 1.0 FTE, day/evening shift position at our Kasota Avenue pharmacy location in Minneapolis (about a mile from the University of Minnesota).
Provide clinical, formulary and pharmacotherapy expertise and act as a resource to students, staff and interdisciplinary members of the care team.
Act as resource for pharmaceutical care to patients. This includes partnering with interdisciplinary care team members to ensure appropriateness of medication order and therapy, drug selection, formulary correctness and compliance any other formulary or departmental initiatives.
Provide clinical pharmacy services to all patients in assigned area including completing review for all patients daily, monitoring, adjusting patient therapies and documenting changes according to department policies.
Effectively consult and educate patients, staff, and students on drug
Execute the function of staff pharmacist

Required
Experience
One year pharmacist experience in complex pharmacy operation or completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program
License/Certification/Registration
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Minnesota
Preferred
Education
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program
Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Experience
3 years experience in a specialty setting

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
