What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric position at Fairview Health Services?
Fairview is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the Psychiatry Consult Service at M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. The nurse practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for pediatric and adult patients in our ~150 bed community hospital.
Practice Highlights:
- See approximately 5-7 patients per shift (new consults and follow-ups) on the inpatient units and emergency department.
- Provide occasional virtual consults at other M Health Fairview hospitals
- Collaborate with additional Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider on the service
- FTE – .90 FTE
- Day shift
- Weekdays
- No weekends!
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC
- Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- BLS certified
- Previous experience in acute care, adolescent care and/or geriatric care preferred

The posted pay range is for a 1.0 FTE. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on a 1.0 FTE schedule. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
