Fairview is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Fairview Ridges Hospitalist team. Work rotating day/evening and weekend shifts, in a "trimester" block schedule format. Rotate and work on both the Hospitalist Inpatient and Observation service. Duties, depending on rotation and shift, will include admissions, rounding on patients and discharge, plus providing cross coverage. Work side by side with other physicians and APPs in a patient centered, collaborative team environment. Ridges Hospital Practice Details:
- Inpatient service - main duties will be performing admissions and triaging patients from the ED.
- Observation Unit is staffed by APPs with physician oversight. Daily patient census of 9-11 patients. Unit is fast paced and must be able to work autonomously.
- APPs collaborate together to maintain self-scheduling, but general guidelines: Every third weekend, every third holiday.
- 0.7 FTE - 1246 total hours/year. Translate approximately to: 30 evening shifts and 86 day shifts in a year
- Day shift is 7:00am - 6:00 pm (11 hrs)
- Evening is 2:00 pm – 12:00am (10 hrs)
- Holidays are divided equally amongst the team, typically Q3 holiday
- Flexibility in this growing environment is essential
- Great technology including fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC), E-signature medical records and digital PACs imaging system

Qualifications:
- Graduate of a school or nursing and accredited Adult/Gero, Acute Care, or Family Nurse Practitioner training program
- BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC
- Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- Inpatient experience preferred
