M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant at the M Health Fairview Specialty Clinic located in Edina, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Specialty Clinic - Edina is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic hours are 7AM to 5PM Monday - Friday, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!
This is a 0.6 FTE (48 Hours Per Two Week Pay Period), benefits-eligible position. The tentative schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 7:45am-4:15pm.
This position is eligible for a $1200 New Hire Sign On Bonus.
This position would support multiple specialties at the M Health Fairview Specialty Clinic.
As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team, supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is crucial for promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow
- Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient.
- Prioritizes work based on patients acuity, available resources, patient/support network preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members.
- Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.
- Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN
- Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Ambulatory Care Experience
- AAMA Certification
