Job Overview

Fairview is looking for a Linen Aide at our Fairview UMMC - West Bank/Riverside location, in Minneapolis, MN.

 

Location: UMMC West Bank, located in Minneapolis

Hours: 16 hours biweekly, with every other weekend dedication

Shift: Evening

 

Schedule

Week 1:

Fri: 5:00pm - 9:00pm (4hrs)

 

Week 2:

Thu: 5:00pm - 9:00pm (4hrs)

 

Sat: 5:00pm - 9:00pm (4hrs)

Sun: 5:00pm - 9:00pm (4hrs)

Job Description

• Collect soiled linens from designated areas throughout the facility.
• Transport soiled linens to the laundry room for processing.
• Sort clean linens according to type, size, and department.
• Fold and package linens neatly and according to established standards.
• Deliver clean linens to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
• Stock linen carts and shelves with clean linens as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and linen storage areas.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting and restocking linens.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications & Other Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.
