What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Assistance Navigator II position at Fairview Health Services?
Overview
The Health Insurance Navigator is responsible for working with patients who express difficulty in paying for services, assisting patients with the Medical Assistance process,
and identify patients for Fairview's Charity Care program. This position works directly with medical staff, nursing, insurance carriers and ancillary departments to assist families
in obtaining healthcare and financial services, as well as to determine and educate the patient of their financial liabilities and potential payment sources.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years in a customer service role with 6 months to 1 year experience in hospital billing and follow-up experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. degree
- 2 years of in healthcare or insurance organization.
