The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics at University of Minnesota M Health Fairview offer a comprehensive range of services to support patients recovering from injury, illness, or chronic conditions affecting movement and function. Our team specializes in treating musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, spine disorders, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. We provide advanced, evidence-based therapies including rehabilitation for stroke and brain injury, spinal cord injury care, sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, pain management, and assistive device evaluation. Our services may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, neuromuscular rehabilitation, and non-surgical interventions to restore function and improve quality of life. Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team works closely with specialized providers, therapists, nurses, and support staff to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. From initial evaluation through recovery and long-term management, we are dedicated to helping patients regain independence and achieve their highest level of function in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
What you will do:
- You will play a meaningful role in supporting providers and patients during their clinic visits.
- Monitoring clinic schedules, greeting and guiding patients to their examination room, and collecting pertinent medical information for their health records.
- Act as valued partner in delivering an outstanding patient experience by coordinating and communicating with other members of the health care team, including nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and physicians, among others.
- Depending on scope of certification or license, some employees will be assisting with minor in office procedures, giving injections and immunizations and other laboratory/sample collections.
What you will need:
- As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): NREMT & MN EMT certification
- As a Medical Assistant (MA): Possess a Medical Assistant Diploma with proof of completion of a 160-hour externship, OR hold AAMA Certification OR AMT Registration.
- As an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license
If selected for hire, compensation and job classification will be individually determined based on a candidate’s specific background, including licensure, certifications, and experience level.

Hours: 40 hours/week
