EEG Technologist

Here at Fairview, we are seeking an EEG Technologist to join our team. This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work 8 hour shifts during the day from 7:30AM - 4:00PM (we can be a little flexible on start times!). This position will include a weekend rotation of every 3rd weekend and will include an on-call rotation. The EEG Technologist will have a home base at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN with additional travel to Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.

The EEG Technologist will perform non-invasive neurodiagnostic testing from neonate to geriatric population. Determine the extern/mode of testing which yields the highest quality and quantity of recording data for doctor’s interpretation. This is to include but not limited to EEG’s, Evoked Potentials, Intraoperative Monitoring, and 24 hour/long-term video monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of equipment operation, safety, and limitation as it relates to all equipment used in the scope of neurodiagnostic. Recognize and implement corrective action when necessary. Initiate service calls as necessary.

• Ability to assess data and interpret descriptive information as it is provided to the surgical physician and anesthesia.

Required Qualifications

• Registry eligible by American Society of Electro-neurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET)
  • Exception: Willing to consider current students in Neurodiagnostic program, on the job training, if they are in a sleep role (polysomnography) or completed prior on the job training.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Neurodiagnostic Technology
• One year of Electro-neurodiagnostic experience
• Registered by American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET)

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
