What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Associate position at Fairview Health Services?
Fairview is looking for an Education Associate to join our Medical Education Department. This is a casual position, meaning all hours are as needed. This position is also remote, so you must have an adequate internet connection available to you.
The Education Associate supports the coordination of undergraduate and graduate clinical education activities at the Fairview Health Services system as a member of the Chief Academic Officer’s Education Team and works under the direction of the Education Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with clinical application requests, badge requests and meal card requests and tracking.
- Assists with quality improvement initiatives and other projects related to education.
- Manages central education team email account.
- Assists with resolving issues related to learner work environment.
- Assists education manager with data collection for reporting purposes.
- Gathers and inputs clinical learner information and preceptor information within the designated learner management system.
- Maintains & updates information on the education website.
- Assists education coordinators with learner compliance monitoring and clinical learner placement, as needed.
- Submits education invoices within the accounts payable system.
- Participates in weekly education huddles.
- Participates in education related projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts
- 1 year of office or administrative experience
- Computer software skills: Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interest in working in an office environment
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to provide support in a professional manner, meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritize projects
- Ability to complete work remotely with adequate internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Survey software experience, such as Survey Monkey or REDCap
- Experience with learner management or scheduling software
- Strong technical skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting
