Overview

The Director, Revenue Cycle Enterprise Education and Training, is responsible for the strategic oversight of the development, execution and continuous improvement of effective training programs in revenue cycle operations. Such programs will ensure user adaptation of content required to perform timely and accurate work associated with revenue cycle transactions and functions across the enterprise. The director will set training and content standards, develop user and program assessments, and define data and metric driven actions to ensure appropriate adoption of skills and knowledge needed for users to perform their roles proficiently and effectively. The Director provides leadership and accountability for operational excellence, including development of customized curriculum, design methodology, materials as well as content and delivery mediums that optimize training outcomes to ensure organizational and stakeholder needs are met. The Director will demonstrate business, people and technical acumen in areas of responsibility. The Director will implement effective strategies by leveraging industry standards and modern solutions to maximize diverse adult learning and training methods including insights and measures to support goal achievement and organizational success. Director serves as a subject matter expert / technical competence and accountable leader striving towards successful development and timely execution of coursework that supports the adult learning experience. The Director is responsible for identifying and delivering education in multiple forms including but not limited to classroom training, in person and virtually, with direct facilitation and online learning modules and a process to fit the content to the right medium. The Director is responsible for overseeing the program and course build and design using software available. The Director collaborates with all Revenue Cycle, Information Technology and Operational departments to create new and maintain accuracy of existing training material and education courses. The role will lead in collaboration forums as well as act in designated liaison roles with partners and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive awareness, alignment, decision making, policy, metric transparency and performance that results in compliant and trusted outcomes for patients, providers, workforce, and system. This position is responsible for continuous process improvement that supports exceptional patient/family and workforce experience. Focus on quality, consistency, simplification, convenient and personalized service that compliments the work experience and patient's care. Understands, advocates (consumerism) and promotes transparency and informed decision making in compliance with industry standards and on behalf of the patient /patient's financial rights.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable to oversee a highly competent training team and accountable for or maximum delivery of effective training and educational solutions including design, implementation, reporting /insights, metrics and continuous refinement of comprehensive education programs and materials tailored to meet the needs of revenue cycle operations.
  • Responsible for activating industry grade program intake, prioritization, service level agreements, quality assurance, assessments, survey and communication tools, templates and structure to deliver top tier performance supporting end users, goals and organizational success.
  • Develop and maintain organizational structure to ensure optimal performance. Manages department to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Hires, orients, trains, and manages leadership. Assure development and implementation of key productivity and quality standards for department processes.
  • Assess the training needs of staff who perform revenue cycle transactions and functions to develop and deliver customized training plans to address gaps in knowledge and skills.
  • Sets clear benchmarks and strategies related to areas of ownership. Maintains continuous process improvement towards best-in-class performance and engages in cross departmental collaboration and feedback loops to maximize results and confidence in program delivery.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external departments. Leads or participates in work with peers and other departments to understand interdependencies and create integrated workflows to implement strategies to improve revenue cycle and organizational performance.
  • Identifies, evaluates, develops, and implements strategies and tactics to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ensure key performance indicators are monitored and being met.
  • Provides oversight to ensure compliance with established laws, regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Creates and cultivates culture of analysis, trends, issues, risk and resolution tracking with team and customers to identify patterns and appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
  • Evaluates team performance and provides feedback, coaching, and guidance on corrective actions to ensure consistency and alignment with HR policies. Ensures appropriate education and training programs are in place for department. Identify opportunities and work with a team to implement plans to improve staff engagement. Performs succession planning to provide development opportunities for key staff identified for future roles within the organization.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for assigned areas to meet budget expectations. Identifies, evaluates, and implements, as appropriate, cost reduction opportunities. Collaborate with Finance to develop and manage financial forecasts for the department. Along with senior management team, accountable for closing gaps as appropriate (duplicative to opening statement)
  • Maintains an understanding of industry trends and best practices to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and mentors’ leaders within areas. Establishes performance standards, identification of goals and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. in Education or Training
  • 7 years Relevant experience in education or training 
  • 5 years Progressive leadership experience 
  • Experience engaging in implementation of new processes, enterprise-wide initiatives, and/or new technologies. 
  • Experience leading a department of multiple leaders or diversified projects involving multiple leaders.

Compensation Disclaimer

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.

Salary : $124,176 - $175,323
