This role is responsible for driving brand strategy, partnering with business leaders, leading breakthrough integrated creative campaigns, and delivering impactful results through human-centered, performance-focused marketing. As a strategic, digitally minded leader, you will inspire cross-functional teams, collaborate with senior executives, and serve as a persuasive voice in articulating the brand’s vision and value, and ensuring our brand promise extends through all parts of the patient and provider experience.
The Marketing Director is a proven leader of people and teams, and well-versed using data and insights to drive human-centered brand and creative strategy. This role is expected to be proactive, solution-oriented, biased toward action, and an exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Director works in regular partnership with members of Fairview’s Communications, Digital, Patient Experience, Talent, Community Advancement and Public Policy teams, as well as Service Line leaders, Business Development teams, and external partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that advances the health system’s mission and drives brand awareness, preference, and loyalty.
· Lead the development of human-centered, insight-driven creative campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences across digital, social, and traditional channels.
· Oversee performance marketing initiatives, using data and insights to optimize campaigns and achieve measurable results.
· Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between creative, digital, and communications teams.
· Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, inspiring innovation and accountability.
· Serve as a persuasive presenter and thought leader, confidently delivering marketing strategies and results to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
· Establish KPIs and monitor marketing performance, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
· Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, maintaining alignment with the organization’s values and goals.

· Exceptional organizational, problem-solving and communication skills (verbal and written) are essential to success in this role
· Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation for both online and offline channels.
· Ability to build strong relationships and instill trust and confidence with internal stakeholders, external partners, and members of the leadership team.
· Understanding of healthcare marketing principles and patient-first approaches is highly preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to effectively manage through it
· Experience collaborating with creative, content, and marketing teams to drive efficient production processes.
· Proficiency in Project Management tools (Asana), Asset Management Tools; Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power-Point, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· 10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with a proven track record of developing and executing brand strategies.
· Demonstrated success in leading human-centered, creative marketing campaigns with measurable business impact.
· Strong expertise in digital marketing, performance marketing, and data analysis.
· Exceptional leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
· Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional partners.
· Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
· Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or mission-driven organizations is a plus.

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.

Salary : $136,843 - $193,190
