What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cybersecurity Associate position at Fairview Health Services?
The Cybersecurity Associate is an entry level position, ideal for recent undergraduates and graduates or for candidates looking to laterally move from current field of work to a career in Cybersecurity, Information Protection and Cyber Risk Management areas. Successful candidate would be part of Cyber Security and Risk Management group at Fairview with opportunities to learn, train and collaborate with seasoned subject matter experts. This role will work under guidance and supervision of leaders ranging from Cyber Defense & Operations; IT Resiliency & Recovery; Cybersecurity Engineering & Automation; Cybersecurity Policy & Compliance; Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities & Risk Management areas, assisting with completion of assigned tasks and job duties as needed. Successful candidate may work as individual or as part of a group working towards delivering outcomes fulfilling core objectives of Frictionless User Access, Adaptive Risk Management & External Credibility and helping Fairview to continue mature cybersecurity posture.
Job Expectations:
· Day to day responsibilities could include tasks including but not limited to any of the following - user access provisioning, de-provisioning, reviewing security logs, incident triage, coordinating with end users in troubleshooting security access issues, documenting cyber risks, proposed security policy changes, coordinating and preparing cybersecurity and risk management reports, coordinating testing and implementation of cybersecurity changes etc.
· Responsible for completing mandatory training sessions, documenting cybersecurity processes, procedures
· Responsible for using company authorized office productivity tools to create artifacts including but not limited to policies, standards, processes, plans, procedures, and practices
· Work in a complex and fast paced environment, that may require collaboration with teams that are diverse and geographically distributed
· Responsible to understand existing policies, procedures, enhance or create documentation for standards, procedures using combination of manual and/or automated methods
· Responsible to actively participate and contribute to daily huddles, team meetings, incident triage, problem identification, root cause analysis
· Responsible to learn and apply the knowledge in maintaining, configuring and managing security tools, systems and complying with security policies

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:
Credentials:
Required
Education
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in Information Technology field
Experience
· Knowledge of Fundamentals of Computers, Operating Systems, Programming & Scripting Languages, App Development, Networking, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Data Analytics, AI/ML/Generative AI etc
· Fundamentals of Information Security, CIA, Least Privileged Access Principles, Vulnerabilities, Cyber Risks etc.
· Demonstrable interest in the field of Information protection, data privacy, Cybersecurity and associated fields
· Referenceable personal standards in integrity, work ethic, openness to learn and work as part of teams
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process improvement or problem resolution
· Demonstrated self-motivation and willingness for taking on additional responsibilities.
Certifications
· One or more of the Cybersecurity industry recognized entry level certifications, such as ISC2’s CC (Certified in Cybersecurity), COMPTIA Security , GISF (GIAC’s Information Security Fundamentals)
Preferred
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering or associated fields
Experience
· Project experience in Cybersecurity, AI/ML, Data Analytics, Data Science,
· Work experience in DevOps/SecDevOps, Product Development methodologies
· Prior experience in leading teams in fields of IT, volunteering, community service, college sports, armed forces
· Experience working in the healthcare industry or other highly regulated and/or compliance-oriented environments.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
