Fairview Health Services is looking for an outstanding Cook to join the Ridges Campus in Burnsville, MN! Pay starts at $20.01 and hr!
This position entails prepping food items as assigned using recipes to meet established standards of high quality using attention to detail. In this position you will be able to acquire experience and knowledge in a fast paced environment where customer service and food service skills are appreciated. Cook staff directly impacts the patient, guest, and staff experience by preparing and serving the food that sustains everyone through their healing or their work in a positive way. This is an outstanding opportunity to engage directly with patients and/or staff, and an opportunity to work together on a team of engaged employees.
Schedule:
This is a causal position.
You would be required to work a minimum of three (3) in a month.
The more open the availability, the better potential for hours.
Responsibilities Job Description
- Prepares items as they are ordered in a timely manner
- Prepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards
- Follows standardized recipes to assure products are consistent in quality and nutritional values
- Handle and prepare food in safe manner following HACCP standardized operating procedures
- Takes and documents temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards
- Sanitizes' equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedure
- Ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served to build a positive impact
Qualifications
Requirements:
Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
Ability to handle all foods under all conditions.
Basic math skills.
Preferred Education:
High School Diploma/G.E.D
Preferred License/Certification/Registration:
Certified or willing to become certified for food safety
