Casual Rehab Assistant - Fairview Lakes Region

We are seeking a casual rehabilitation assistant (RA) to support our M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center Rehab Clinics in Wyoming, Chisago and North Branch!

This is a casual position and excellent opportunity to gain operational experience if you are pursuing a career in rehabilitation, or if you have curiosity and want to learn more about the field. The RA is an essential team member supporting customer service and business operations. Through collaboration, we support the delivery of services to patients receiving outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, edema services and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.

This position will give you experience with a check-in desk, a call center for appointments, following up on insurance related questions or order requests, facilitating correspondence to medical professionals, handling queues for regulatory related forms, supporting supply management and cleaning department equipment.

• Local 113 SEIU contract position. 
• Flexibility to work at various M Health Fairview Lakes Rehab locations including; Wyoming, North Branch, and Chisago.
• Schedule: casual position - willing to pick up shifts, pending availability and department needs.
• Shifts are Monday - Friday and vary from 8 hours to 10 hours between 6:30am - 5:30pm.

Fairview Rehabilitation offers a broad range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

As an academic health system with residency and fellowship programs and a rehab-focused clinical quality team, we have a collaborative culture that is centered on learning with an emphasis on evidence based, patient-centered care. Rehab’s continuing education program offers 40 continuing education courses per year at no cost to employees and further supports numerous external CE courses each year.

The Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for assisting Rehabilitation Services staff in any of the rehabilitation areas with assigned duties including transporting patients, maintenance activities, clerical work and assisting with patient care.

Required Qualifications

• 1 year medical office experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts and locations required

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year hospital or clinic front office experience with electronic scheduling, registration and Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Nursing Assistant Registered

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
