Responsibilities Job Description
Job Expectations:
· Provides mentorship and consultation for program development. Aids in crafting foundational programming needs, including, but not limited to program goals, guidelines and logistical planning.
· Coordinates, supports and plans Artist-in-Residence program.
· Builds and provides education surrounding art therapy and the Artist-in-Residence program.
· Provides psychosocial support within an art therapy scope to patients, families, staff and Artist-in-Residence program artists.
· Plans, supports, collects information and patient stories to build a case for a creative arts program to bring to philanthropy partners, as well as leadership. This may include statistics, budget, impact statements/stories to show feasibility and best future state for this type of program for both in and outpatient services
· Provide art therapy services in group and one-to-one basis in accordance with the practice philosophy and standards of Art Therapy Clinical Practice.
· Provides patient assessments
· Individual care planning related to art therapy.
· Maintain art therapy equipment and supplies.
· Communicate in a timely manner with interdisciplinary team members regarding changes in patient condition and other information as needed.
· Document patient visits within established timeframe (24 –48 hours).
· Assists in supervising and revising Art Therapy programming according to current and emerging client/unit needs under direction of supervisor.
· Demonstrates the ability to advance evidence based practice by applying standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery.

· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Education
· Master’s Degree from a college or university program approved by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA)
Experience
· 1 year experience in a healthcare setting or completion of an AATA approved clinical internship
License/Certification/Registration
· Certified by the Certification Board of Art Therapists
· BLS Certification
