Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions (RDAEF) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of dental procedures, exceptional chairside assisting skills, and the ability to provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in various dental technologies and systems, including EMR systems, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and surgical implant dentistry.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow and patient comfort.
- Take and develop X-rays in compliance with safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize a 3D scanner for precise imaging and documentation.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with medical coding standards.
- Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within the dental clinic.
- Provide education to patients regarding oral health care and post-treatment instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to enhance patient experience and clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Valid RDAEF certification with relevant state licensure.
- Proficient in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience in chairside assisting within a dental clinic setting is essential.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred.
- Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is required.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
