School Bus Driver with Air Brake Endorsement
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated School Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely transportation of students while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate school buses in accordance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including air brake systems, to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and student attendance
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the bus
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a School Bus endorsement
- Air Brake Endorsement required
- Proven experience driving school buses or commercial vehicles preferred
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Good physical health and ability to perform routine vehicle inspections
- High school diploma or equivalent
