Middle School IB Teacher (MYP)
An IB Middle School Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering inquiry-based curricula for students aged 11–16. They foster a holistic learning environment that encourages critical thinking and international-mindedness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning: Develop and execute lesson plans according to the IB MYP guidelines, ensuring both horizontal (cross-subject) and vertical (grade-level) alignment.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Design criterion-aligned assessments. Track student progress, provide detailed feedback to students and parents, and maintain accurate records of academic and behavioral performance.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and materials to support diverse learners, including English Language Learners (ELL) and students with special educational needs.
- Holistic Development: Serve as a student advisor and supervise students during school activities, field trips, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Collaboration: Participate actively in collaborative planning meetings, professional development, and contribute to school events like exhibitions and parent-teacher conferences.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant content area; Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum two year teaching expirience in the classroom
- Experience: Previous middle school classroom experience, with demonstrated knowledge of inquiry-based learning and the IB MYP framework
