What You'll Do: Lead Projects, People & Progress
In this multifaceted role, you will oversee capital improvement projects from concept to completion while supporting and elevating our maintenance and renovation teams. You’ll be the bridge between vision and execution—ensuring our communities look beautiful, operate safely, and deliver an exceptional living experience for our residents.
You will:
Manage capital improvement projects with meticulous planning, budgeting, scheduling and quality control.
Coordinate seamlessly with property managers, maintenance teams, contractors, architects and consultants.
Ensure strict adherence to budgets, timelines, safety standards and Fairmont’s quality expectations.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance, craftsmanship and efficiency.
Review proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships with professionalism and fairness.
Review and approve progress payments, maintain documentation, and manage risk.
Champion maintenance excellence—evaluating technician productivity, standardizing materials, and fostering a proactive, safe work environment.
Support and mentor the Renovation Team, promoting growth and readiness for advancement.
Identify hazards, recommend improvements, and protect the assets entrusted to us.

What You Bring to the Table
5 years of construction management experience or a related bachelor’s degree
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
Knowledge of multifamily construction and contracting procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance, ability to travel between properties
Physical ability to perform site inspections and support field teams
