Job Description

What you will be doing: Reporting to the Director, Wellness, Retail, & Club 1927, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide a variety of professional massage treatments including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, and more
• Conduct consultations to assess individual needs, preferences, and any health considerations prior to treatments
• Deliver personalized, high-quality massage services that align with Fairmont policies and procedures
• Ensure guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and relaxed throughout the spa experience
• Perform massage and body treatments safely and effectively according to protocols and standards
• Adjust pressure, techniques, and treatments based on guest preferences and feedback
• Monitor guest comfort and respond promptly to any concerns during treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms before and after each service according to spa cleanliness and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of treatment rooms, equipment, and linens
• Ensure proper use and care of spa products, oils, tools, and supplies
• Recommend appropriate spa services and retail products to enhance guest wellness and treatment results
• Educate guests on aftercare and wellness practices to extend the benefits of treatments
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate guest preferences when appropriate
• Work collaboratively with spa therapists, attendants, and spa reception to ensure smooth daily operation
• Participate in ongoing training sessions, team meetings, and professional development activities
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and relaxing spa environment
• Maintain guest confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and spa policies
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Valid Massage Therapy License in accordance with state regulations
• Certification in recognized massage modalities such as Swedish and Deep Tissue
• Previous experience in a luxury spa, resort, or hotel environment preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, personable disposition and positive attitude
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive massage movements throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry spa supplies up to 25 lbs
• Physical stamina to perform multiple treatments per shift
  
  

Hourly rate of $20.00
