Position: Food Truck Chef
About Us:
Fairhope Fish House is dedicated to bringing the freshest Gulf Seafood to our community. We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Food Truck Chef to join our team and help us delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes from our menu, including Gulf ceviche, tuna poke, smoked fish dip, and more.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing, ensuring the use of fresh, seasonal products.
- Collaborate with and train team members to uphold our standards of service and quality.
- Interact with customers to provide a friendly and memorable dining experience.
- Participate in food truck events, festivals, and private catering as needed.
- Manage food inventory and assist with logistics and set-up for each location.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food service industry, with previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar role.
- Passion for seafood and familiarity with seasonal ingredients and local sourcing.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and health standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for engaging with customers.
- Experience with marketing and social media is a plus, especially using photography and video to promote dishes.
