Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring all payments are processed efficiently.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly and adhere to all legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Uphold food handling standards to guarantee the safety and quality of all beverages served.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in bartending or fine dining establishments.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Certification in food handling or responsible beverage service is required. (TIPS)
