Pay: $35.00 - $45.00/hr. (depending on experience)
Fairfield Landscaping is seeking a dedicated Snow Equipment Operator to join our team. The Snow Equipment Operator plays a critical role in ensuring timely and safe snow removal during winter events. As a Snow Equipment Operator, you will respond quickly to snow events and assist in completing effective and professional snow removal operations.
Responsibilities:
Operate snowplow and salt truck as a Snow Equipment Operator to remove ice and snow from roads and assigned areas, requiring early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend duty including holidays.
- ; Respond in a timely manner (within 30 minutes) when called as a Snow Equipment Operator to assist in snow plowing.
- ; Ensure that roads under responsibility of the Snow Equipment Operator are adequately and safely plowed when required.
- ; Shovel snow, perform grounds maintenance, and other duties as assigned related to facilities and roads maintenance.
- ; Perform routine equipment maintenance/repair tasks such as changing vehicle fluids, fueling, greasing, painting, etc.
- ; Inspect equipment on a regularly scheduled basis and comply with safety precautions.
- ; Maintain all equipment needed for snow removal as a Snow Equipment Operator .
- ; Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- ; Report all incidents involving equipment functioning to Manager/Supervisor(s).
Education/Work Experience:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
- ; High school diploma or equivalent, with prior responsible work experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Safety Requirements:
Ability to work under moderately safe and comfortable conditions where exposure to environmental factors such as temperature variations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Required to possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license or CDL prior to employment.

Physical Requirements:
- ; Ability to operate equipment and machinery requiring monitoring multiple conditions and making multiple, complex, and rapid adjustments, such as snowplow, dump truck, front end loader, common hand and power tools, welder/cutting torch, snow blower, hydraulic jacks, and shovel.
- ; Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing highly skilled movements such as operating heavy equipment.
- ; Ability to exert moderately heavy (up to 50 pounds) physical effort in moderate to heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- ; Occasionally lifting or moving heavy materials in difficult work positions.
- ; Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- ; Excellent stamina is required for a Snow Equipment Operator.
