Duties
- Assist in supervising housekeeping staff to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards
- Support the implementation of sanitation and safety regulations across all areas, including industrial and commercial cleaning environments
- Coordinate daily cleaning schedules, including laundry and custodial tasks, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and foster a positive work environment through effective managerial communication
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities, including sanitation management and industrial cleaning procedures
- Assist in training new staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety regulations, and customer service expectations
- Support the management of janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage
Experience
- Proven experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or hospitality housekeeping roles
- Supervising or team management experience within a cleaning or janitorial environment
- Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service
- Experience with laundry operations and industrial cleaning is preferred
- Excellent communication skills for managerial interactions and team supervision
- Prior management or supervisory experience in a hospitality or custodial setting is highly desirable
