Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician assists with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and mechanical systems. This position supports preventative maintenance programs and responds to service requests to ensure the property meets brand standards and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel
- Respond to guest room maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
- Maintain and repair guest rooms
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities and equipment
- Assist with maintenance of public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and hotel maintenance standards
- Support other engineering team members and assist with projects as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, pool, HVAC, and carpentry
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physical work when required
- Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Schedule including weekends, and holidays
