Duties
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality control procedures to maintain consistency
- Train new team members on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hospitality best practices
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and ordering to ensure smooth operations
- Address guest requests or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive guest experience at all times
- Enforce safety regulations related to janitorial equipment, floor care machinery, and industrial cleaning processes
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within a hospitality or hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, stripping and waxing floors
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing housekeeping teams or housekeeper management
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety procedures
- Ability to train staff effectively on cleaning standards and safety protocols
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
