Hotel Housekeeper

Duties

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a high standard of cleanliness
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
• Perform floor care tasks including carpet cleaning, polishing hard floors, and spot cleaning to keep surfaces looking their best
• Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, linens, and cleaning products to ensure availability for guests and staff
• Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly to maintain a safe environment
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold quality standards
• Adhere to hotel policies regarding sanitation standards, security procedures, and guest privacy at all times

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within hotels or hospitality settings
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet extraction and hard surface polishing
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering exceptional cleanliness standards
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues clearly
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and custodial management practices is preferred
