JOB SUMMARY
Room attendants are responsible for providing rooms that are cleaned to company standards, having positive interactions with guests and supporting other departments throughout the hotel. Room attendants ensure guest satisfaction by delivering upon their expectation of a spotlessly clean room with no signs of a previous guest.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Practices life safety & security practices in accordance with company standards.
- Performs all procedures as outlined by the company’s standards manual.
- Communicates issues, concerns, complaints, compliments, and suggestions from the guests to the appropriate team members.
- Completes work within time allowed for each room in accordance with company standards.
- Maintains a neat and professional appearance of uniforms, carts and work area at all times.
- Properly uses all tools, supplies and cleaning chemicals in accordance with company standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Changes bed linens daily (unless otherwise specified by the guest).
- Vacuums entire room, including carpet edging and closet, daily in all rooms.
- Cleans coffee makers, fridges and microwaves with appropriate food safe sanitizer daily.
- Dusts entire room including furniture, picture frames, door frames, window frames and walls daily.
- Thoroughly cleans bathroom area according to company standards daily.
- Ensures all lamps and other electronic devices are plugged in and working properly (clocks set to proper time, TV working, etc.)
- Immediately reports any damages or items missing from the room to the appropriate team member.
- Completes work orders for any items in the room in need of repair.
- Immediately turns in any “lost and found” items to the Front Desk.
- Prepares completed room for inspection in accordance with company standards.
- Completes deep cleaning projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Completes any additional assignments from the Executive Housekeeper.

SHIFTS
Room Attendants begin work at 9:00 am on weekdays and 10:00 am on weekends. Shift end times vary based upon number of rooms assigned. Candidates need to have availability to work any day of the week. Room Attendants will have scheduled “on call” days where it is necessary to call the hotel in the morning to see if they will be needed to work that day.
