Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Event Setup Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banquets and events industry, with a strong background in room setup, guest services, and hospitality. This role involves providing exceptional guest relations, ensuring accurate event setup, client interaction, and supporting various aspects of event operations. Duties
- Prepare and assist with preparation, setup, and tear down to meet event requirements
- Deliver excellent guest services by addressing guest needs and ensuring a positive event experience
- Assist with setup duties to maintain cleanliness and organization of the event spaces
- Support safety protocols by adhering to proper event setup and cleaning procedures
- Collaborate with sales and operations staff to ensure timely and accurate events
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, event spaces, and equipment to uphold health standards
- Provide support during special events, including catering and large group events
- Engage in ongoing training related to event safety, setup operations, and guest relations
Requirements
- Previous experience in the event/hospitality industry, including hotel experience or event background preferred
- Knowledge of hotel safety standards and proper event setup techniques
- Experience in guest services, hospitality, or event operations is a plus
- Familiarity with event service, catering, or meeting service is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to move and lift items repetitively (up to 40 pounds)
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
