Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and various mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, including equipment repair, system upgrades, and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Assist with construction projects or upgrades by supporting installation efforts and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to identify issues and execute precise repairs or adjustments.
- Lead small maintenance teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or installations to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to support operational efficiency and compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related fields.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience in equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to facility maintenance or upgrades is a plus.
- Leadership skills to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors during complex projects.
