Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Handle various chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure proper sanitation and safety.
• Conduct floor cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain impeccable floor care standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture, linens, or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety procedures.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting work areas regularly and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and ensuring their comfort during their stay.
• Adhere to hotel housekeeping management policies to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a focus on industrial or hotel cleaning environments.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling protocols.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical strength for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is a plus.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Previous hospitality or hotel experience is highly desirable.
