- Communicates with the General Manager consistently on an on-going basis in terms of pertinent information regarding the department and hotel or guest issues
- Assists in hiring, training and leading departmental team members
- Participates in appraisal and review of employees and makes recommendations to the General Manager on hiring and disciplinary action in accordance with company policies
- Knows room rates, locations, furnishings, amenities, and special features of all guest rooms of the property
- Schedules to maintain labor efficiency (Minutes per Room) and service excellence according to the business needs and budget Ensures safe use of chemicals and equipment in accordance with the MSDS
- Follows key control and security procedures
- Inspects all furniture, carpet, and equipment, checking for wear, hazards, malfunction, and/or stains; fixes and/or reports issues to Maintenance
- Plans, organizes, and keeps records on deep cleaning activities
- Ensures all common areas are cleaned/checked daily and all needed repairs are completed and/or reported Qualifications:
- Prior Assistant Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper experience
- Supervisory experience Basic computer skills
- Prior PMS system experience a plus! Ability to maintain an inventory and order as needed
