🏀 Director of Girls Basketball — Fairfield Fierce

Fairfield Fierce Basketball is looking for the right person to lead, build, and grow the girls side of our organization.

This is not simply a coaching position.

Fierce is an established year-round basketball organization serving hundreds of athletes across Fairfield County. While our boys program has grown significantly, we believe there is a major opportunity to build a stronger and more expansive girls program — and we are looking for someone who wants to take a leading role in making that happen.

The Girls Program Director will work directly with Fierce leadership and have meaningful ownership over the direction and growth of the girls program.

The role may include:

• Building girls teams and expanding participation across age groups

• Recruiting players, families, and coaches

• Leading tryouts and helping form rosters

• Coaching and overseeing girls teams and coaching staff

• Developing clinics, camps, and other girls-specific programming

• Establishing a consistent culture and player development philosophy

• Building relationships throughout the Fairfield County girls basketball community

• Identifying new opportunities to grow the program

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong basketball background and understands girls basketball

• Is a leader, relationship-builder, and self-starter

• Wants to build something rather than simply coach one team

• Is comfortable taking initiative and generating ideas

• Connects well with players and families

• Believes in accountability, development, competitiveness, and team-first basketball
